Its big, glamourous and filled with vendors attempting to entice you to use their services. Is a wedding show worth your money and effort to attend? Wedding shows or expo's are common place in main centres, usually taking place in Spring, just before the wedding season or in Autumn as people start to plan their weddings for the following season. What makes them such a great event to go to is that it can give you lots of ideas, help you meet wedding vendors in your area and give you the opportunity to win prizes and giveaways. When you are planning a wedding your imagination often runs back to what you have seen friends and family members do at their wedding. It can be great to carry on traditions, however, if you are looking for something fresh that reflects your unique character and relationship, a wedding show exposes you to new ideas, products and services. For example, at a recent expo there was a new business offering a portable bar that allows you to take the party anywhere you want - that opens up lots more options. Wedding shows often contain a bridal show where models showcase the latest in wedding dress trends and styles. It is a great way to get ideas for your own dress, or you may even find a dress you like at the show. There are usually plenty of opportunities to enter prize draws and competitions that would help with the wedding budget. From free wedding packages at some of the bigger shows to free services and products. A recent show included a diamond wedding ring hidden in a balloon, which you won by popping the winning balloon in the balloon drop. There is nothing to lose, so why not give yourself the opportunity to come out with more than you came in! Most shows also provide 'goodie bags' containing lots of specials and samples. If you are still looking for wedding services for your wedding such as a celebrant, photographer or entertainment, attending an expo will give you the opportunity to meet some of these people in person and see what they have to offer. You want to make sure that you feel comfortable with the people you choose and a wedding show puts these people in one place for you to choose from, saving you time and travel. It is worth lining up, jostling through the crowds and paying your entrance fee to attend an expo? Yes! It will save you time running around after vendors, give you some great ideas and who knows, you may come out with something for free. Not only that, but it is a great way to spend your weekend. Make sure you check out the next wedding show on our home page or search 'wedding shows' to see all the shows coming up in the near future. |
