TIPS TO LOOK GORGEOUS ON YOUR DAY PART 2
Ok, now we have covered how to prepare your skin and body for the big day, the second part to this is how best to enhance your features on the day, and look naturally gorgeous. The most important way to be prepared for the wedding day is to decide what kind of make-up look you want and whether you will do it yourself or get a make-up artist. It is great to show your make-up artist your dress and explain the the feel you want for your wedding day (beach, evening, classic, casual). Either way you will need to start finding pictures as to what you want out of magazines. Do you want a classic red lip, casual soft make-up or sexy smokey eye?
Important factors when considering your make-up is that you need your make-up to be simple and timeless. You also need to wear slightly more than you would usually, for your features to look amazing in photo's, while also not wearing too much that you don't look like yourself.
The best look on wedding days are always in a neutral colour scheme. While blue eyes may look hot on Friday night, it is not a timeless look, and it will date when you look back at your photo's in twenty years time. Stick to browns, greys and black on the eyes. A soft purple can look great also.
Make sure to contour your face with bronzer to warm the skin and create cheek bones! Use shimmer on your high planes, but never too much. There is nothing worse than a really shiny bride (get your bridesmaid to carry you pressed powder or blot paper, you may be nervous or hot so you may get shiny!)
If you wear a stronger eye go softer on the lip, but beware the very pale pink! It looks terrible in photos. You can keep your lips neutral but don't go too pale.
A red lip can be so glamorous, but only if eyes are minimal with a flick of liner.
Also consider individual lashes. These really intensify your lashes while still looking natural and also make your eyes look larger! Bonus.
To take with you for touch ups: Pressed powder or blot paper, lipstick or gloss, concealer, mints (don't chew gum at your wedding, someone will snap you mid chew!), perfume.
It is a good idea to use a make-up artist. They know how much make-up you need to look stunning without overdoing it, and how to best bring out your features. This is also takes the guess work out of make-up and learn a few tips!
Some make-up artists, like myself, over a 50% refund on make-up trials if you book them on your wedding day. It's worth it!
