Additionally, as a published academic I am able to write and craft your ceremony swiftly and thoroughly. My lecturing experience means I am a confident and articulate speaker, while my love of life and of this gorgeous country means I am able to suggest a variety of ceremony locations should you be eloping. I enjoy working in relationships of mutual respect with my clients and want everyone involved to feel good about both the process and the ceremony itself. Am happy to provide complete media blackout and confidentiality agreement as required. Funerals: With a background in youth work and the experience of losing my own son pre-birth, I am often asked to officiate at funerals for babies, children and young people, as well as people throughout their life stages. My community counselling work supports me in providing safe funeral services for those who have suicided. I also hold expertise in the unique process of Living Funerals, where a person aware of their terminal illness chooses to have a service before their passing, enabling them to participate in the celebration and honouring of their life. Weddings & Civil Unions: The majority of my Celebrant work involves facilitating weddings and civil unions, and I delight in doing so. The heart loves who the heart loves and it is a joy and a privilege to stand with you and celebrate your commitment and happiness. I have performed ceremonies on cliff-tops, mountains, beaches, islands, boats, urban roof gardens, in historic homes, exclusive resorts, clubs, marae, private residences, parks, hospitals, rest homes, chapels, hotels, restaurants, vineyards, zoos, museums and art galleries. Anywhere and anytime you want to celebrate your relationship works for me! My approach: Ethical and excellent practice underpins all my work, as does the value of relationship. In all aspects of ceremony development and delivery I will work with you to ensure that together we create a beautiful piece of history in your journey as a couple. I bring a unique package of desirable skills to my work - comfort with and respect for people of all cultures, beliefs, identities and roles in society, my advanced education and the associated communication and organisational practices, confidence with public speaking and facilitation of groups both large and small, combination of youthfulness and experience, beautifully written and delivered bespoke ceremonies, exquisite 100% recycled stationery, a choice of payment options, and a friendly and flexible manner - all of which provide me with the capacity to give you what you want. Kim was perfect for our wedding, she was understanding and was flexible when it came to what we wanted to include. She embraced our cultures, our family and us and we alwasys felt comfortable and at ease with this part of the wedding as well as offering us great ideas to help us have the most special day of our lives.
