At Chocolate Velvet we love making wedding cakes, and if you are planning a wedding we would love to make yours!

We recognise that your wedding cake will be the centrepiece of your reception.  With all its traditions and significance, you want your cake to be as special and unique as your day. 

Our aim is to make planning your cake as stress free as possible.  With this in mind, we offer:



  • Free wedding consultations by appointment

  • Up to three free tastings available during consultation (advance notice required)

  • Free delivery to your venue in our refridgerated van (Atawhai to Richmond)

  • Setting up your cake at the venue

  • Liaising with your florist and/or wedding managers

  • Different flavours available for each tier

  • Cakes to suit all budgets
