Has anybody had/been to a wedding in Hanmer Springs?

I am trying to plan our wedding from Aus which isn't as easy as first thought - but email (and online forums :)) make it that little bit better.

I had decided on the Heritage as a venue - but when the events coordinator sent through photo's it was a very plain looking Gazebo, and the Ballroom could do with a bit of a carpet upgrade... The hotel will do nothing to help out with organising the decorations (apart from candles - thanks Heritage!), so I need to source a place to get chair coverings, vases etc. Any suggestions?

Also - has anyone used "The Assassins" as photographers? Their website is fantastic and I, being a sucker for marketing, would hire them on that alone, but wondering if anyone has had experience with them.

Any help with anything would be appreciated!
